Which separators are supported in CSV?
Commas, tabs and semicolons are detected automatically. Quoted fields with line breaks are handled. Output CSV uses commas.
Will Excel open the CSV correctly?
Yes. Saved CSV files are UTF-8 with a BOM so Excel shows every language correctly. For Shift_JIS, use "Excel ⇄ CSV".
Is it safe to use JSON & CSV Formatter with my files?
Yes. Your files are never uploaded — they're processed only inside your browser. Every page is served with a policy that blocks outgoing connections (Content-Security-Policy connect-src 'none'), and the counter in the bottom-left shows the data sent: 0 bytes.
